The Titanic was quite a large vessel for its time. Standing 11 stories high, this behemoth was almost the length of four 747 Jumbo jets placed side by side. If you stood the Titanic from bow to stern, it would have been the same height as the Empire State Building in New York, U.S.A.!
She had a gross tonnage of around 45,000 tonnes and was 882 feet or 268 metres in length. For more technical information about the Titanic, check out my Statistics link.
